Gretton Goalkeeping to offer Spring Training in Waldorf
Gretton Goalkeeping, directed by Southern Maryland area Goalkeeper Trainer, Andy Gretton, will be conducting weekly training sessions for all ages every Friday from 5:15-6:45pm at Pinefield Park in Waldorf. This is a 10 session progressive series. Groups will be separated into U8-10, U11-13, and U14-U17. The cost is $17.50 per session and the duration will be 90 minutes minimum. The program will begin April 3rd. For those keepers that took part in the program last fall, they will be put into a intermediate group and not a beginner group again unless requested by the client. GENERAL INFORMATION
- Soccer practice is held two evenings a week for one hour.
- Practices are held on the soccer fields on Metropolitan Church Road behind J. C. Parks Elementary and Matthew Henson Middle Schools.
- Games are played on the same fields or in Bensville usually on Saturdays or the occasional evening.
- Coaches will call players one week prior to the beginning of the season.
- Each player must bring a bottle of water/sports drink to practice and games.
- Soccer Cleats and Shin Guards are mandatory for all players during practice and games.
- Uniforms consisting of jerseys and socks will be provided by BRSA. Players will provide their own shorts (usually black) that do not have pockets. Uniforms will be worn for all games.
- Players may wear long sleeve shirts or pants under their uniforms during games in the event of cold weather.
- Players may not wear jewelry or hair accessories during games. Soft hair ties or head bands may be worn.
- Players wearing glasses must have a strap to secure them.
- Team managers need to schedule game snacks.
- Players will receive a cool trophy at the end of the season.
